    Lithuania’s Ambassador Aleksiejūnas presented his letters of  credence in Morocco

    On 2 February, Lithuania’s Ambassador to France Nerijus Aleksiejūnas presented his letters of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.

    Ambassador Aleksiejūnas noted that bilateral relations between Lithuania and Morocco were good and would be further strengthened. “Lithuanian-Morocco cooperation is important not only on political issues, but we have great untapped potential for developing business relations,” said Lithuania’s Ambassador. The meeting focused on the possibility of political consultations between Lithuania and Morocco and the business forum shortly.

    During the visit, the Ambassador also met with the Director of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Morocco Redouane Adghoghi and Rabat Patricia Llombart Cussac, head of the EU Delegation.

    Aleksiejūnas is the fifth ambassador of Lithuania to Morocco, who resides in Paris. Trade between Lithuania and Morocco amounted to EUR 210 million in 2022.
